A security violation, or "request is blocked" error occurs when an user’s access attempt is blocked due to a violation of Covisum’s security rules. This error can occur for various reasons, but a common cause is when a user attempts to access their account from outside the United States or while using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that is configured with an endpoint located outside of the United States. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve this issue:
If You Are Using a Virtual Private Network (VPN):
- Request a U.S.-Based Static IP Address:If possible, request a static IP address located in the United States.
- Access Without a VPN (U.S. Only): If you are currently in the United States, try accessing Covisum tools directly, without using a VPN.
- Select a U.S.-Based Server: If your VPN assigns a dynamic IP address, ensure you are connected to a server located within the United States.
If You Are Accessing from Outside the United States:
- Use a U.S.-Based VPN Server: To ensure your connection appears to originate from within the United States, consider using a VPN and selecting a server based in the U.S.
If the Error Occurred After Repeated Invalid Login Attempts:
- Verify Login Credentials: Confirm that you are using the correct email address and password.
- Reset Your Password if Needed: If the issue persists, reset your password by selecting "Forgot Password." on the login page.
