Planning-oriented advisors are particularly adept at seeing the big picture. They ask their clients the tough questions to help them see the impact of every financial decision and how those decisions impact long-term financial goals.   > "Advisors have the ability to think about the long-term implications of their clients’ financial decisions and show them how to view their financial goals through that lens." You can determine if you've found an advisor who considers the whole picture by asking if the advisor has a structured process in place to determine if you're likely to meet your goals.
